We have enjoyed considerable success in locating obsolete and antique parts.
Information on Shipping Firearms
United Parcel Service ( UPS ) will ship firearms. Must be securely packaged. Guns can be directly shipped to us by individuals providing that they are the legal owner of record , and properly licensed within the state that they reside ( license required only when that state requires licensing) We can ship their gun back to them directly. All hand guns must be shipped AIR (next day not required) Securely packaged with no ammo and no markings indicating contents.( Swift River Gunworks may be written as S.R.G.W. Co.) UPS will insure up to $50,000 per item with proper documentation. ( To date, I have never had a problem with a UPS damage claim)
Federal Express : Fed Ex will ship firearms. Long guns must be properly packaged and can ship Ground . All handguns must be shipped AIR such as Fed Ex Express. Same packaging and labeling requirements as UPS. HOWEVER: BE ADVISED THAT FED EX WILL NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANTIQUE OR COLLECTABLE FIREARMS. THEY WILL NOT PAY CLAIMS FOR DAMAGE TO SUCH ITEMS WHILE IN THEIR CUSTODY, REGARDLESS OF RESPONSIBILITY! THEY HAVE A $500.00 LIMIT FOR VALUATION ON ANTIQUE AND COLLECTABLE GUNS. CALL FED EX BEFORE SHIPPING ANY VALUABLE FIREARM WITH THEM!
DHL EXPRESS. DHL will not ship firearms.
U.S Postal Service. USPS will ship firearms. Long guns must be very securely pakaged. NO AMMO in the box. Best not to mark the carton as containing a firearm. Again ; Swift River Gunworks can be addressed as S.R.G.W. Co.. Handguns can be shipped only between federally licensed dealers ( FFL’s). FFl copies for sender and recipient must on file with USPS.

ALL THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE 1968 GUN CONTROL ACT, AND THE NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT , MUST BE MET FOR ALL SHIPMENTS REGARDLESS OF CARRIER. ALL STATE REQUIREMENTS, APPLYING TO BOTH SHIPPER AND RECEIVER MUST ALSO BE MET FOR ALL SHIPMENTS REGARDLESS OF CARRIER. IF SWIFT RIVER GUNWORKS RECEIVES ILLEGAL SHIPMENTS, IN ANY FORM, WE WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO NOTIFY THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES.

* Be sure to review the procedures and requirements for the shipper you select. Often ‘shipping store fronts’ are unaware of the shippers policy for shipping long guns and hand guns. You can often arrange the package be picked up directly by the shipping company.
